In the September issue of House Beautiful 2011.... There is a incredible spread showcasing one of my top clients beach houses. Mona Ross Berman worked on the interior design along side the always stylish Maureen Doron, owner of Skirt. Together they created a vibrant, classic and retro beach house and I had the liberty of creating a line of plates for Doron based on the incredible table she designed and various fabric choices for the home.
Here is a peak at the story, and check out part of the collection on the second shelf in the living room!!!

While walking this morning I came across the most lush bushes of these double pinecone shaped hydrangeas! I have never seen them so big and beautiful! I couldnt resist the urge to cut some.. I walked with the bunch behind my back like a bunny with a fluffy tail so no one would catch me and my find!

After all the winter.. I am feeling like a revival is in store.. There are a variety of things that inspire me and I am tapping into all of them to welcome the Spring time.. I always have things that I want to accomplish and people I want to see.. This spring I plan on working on the garden, repainting some of the old furniture in fun colors, I want to go camping and spend time with those that bring me most joy, and most importantly I am going to do more for me!!

Its been a while.. All for good reasons... Busy with projects and the season of spending time with those important to you.. This Christmas was full of relaxation and togetherness. I have dreamt for years of having the holidays at home and this year and the last we have been fortunate enough to start this. Though the space may be small, it felt like we were in a palace full of life and laughter.

I love the worn of the chair and how the stripe of the pattern mimics that in the white. I just love anything with these colors!!!

I love comfort at a dining table. Either a couch or bench or in this case two gorgeous armchairs at either end and fill the rest with mix and match to keep it still casual.

I love the unexpectedness of the painting and then also the striped awning outside is a favorite of mine....( I daydream that the outside of the house is painted yellow with black shutters)

My New Skirt!!!

I have been a bit busy with a great new client.. This amazingly stylish boutique SKIRT, in Bryn Mawr, has become my #1 Fan. I created a mailer for their client list that offered the expertise of the great women that work at the store to help them rejuvinate their tired wardrobes and work with updating some of your favorite pieces with new looks.

Inside the mailer included a gift card, also designed by moi! Since then we have started many more projects that are fun and exciting. There is nothing better than finding someone that understands your vision!
SKIRT is a design/fashion lovers eutopia. The interior of the store is full of patterned walls, fabrics of all texture, color and style draping amongst the furniture and clothing. The snow is slowly melting away, Maria Callas is playing and the rest of the house still sleeps. I just spent my morning baking and polishing my silver. There is something so European about a bit of silver on the breakfast table, a cup of french press coffee and the taste of warm homemade baked goods. I love weekends!~

Lately I have found myself decorating with all whites and sea shells.. My mom found this fabulous lamp at an estate sale and gave it me for Xmas... I love the acrylic stand..something about the modern with the natural...so yummy!!! Oh and the white ceramic animals got to love!

I am constantly rearranging things in my home, there is a bookcase that I sit in front of a lot, so I am always thinking of the different things that I want to see there at different times of the day, week or year.... I have recently fallen in love with the idea of Terrariums. With the weather outside making me miss my garden this is the perfect way for me to bring the outside in. The smell inside each time you water reminds you of the smell of your garden after a rainstorm. You can really make one with any glass vessel and a clay bottom or pot... its your personal "fairyland"

As an artist, its hard to find a way to express yourself in one medium. I have always wanted to figure out a way to express all the things that I enjoy and am talented at and also the things that I surround myself with. Friends, family, my home, the food I eat, the music I listen to, the clothes that I wear, the places I put a candle or the way I set a table.
This will be a way that I can express and also share. You will see what inspires me, you will see how many ways I arrange the bookcases in my house, the menus that my husband and I create on a average night of movie watching....the interesting people I know and love and the work that I create.
